Passport or UK driving licence, plus something with your address on it from the last three months. We take the details down against the purchase — we do not photograph or keep a copy of your documents. No ID means no deal, and there is no version of this where we make an exception because you are in a hurry.
Every phone, tablet, laptop and console is run against the national blocklist and the activation lock before a penny moves. Blocklisted, iCloud-locked or Google-locked devices are refused, and the check is logged.
You are confirming the device is yours to sell, is not on finance, and is not on a contract somebody else pays. If anything looks off we walk away and keep the record. We would rather lose a deal than handle stolen goods.
This is also why our offers hold up: buyers pay more for stock with a clean audit trail behind it, and that margin goes back into what we can pay you.

What is left is roughly what it resells for. We pay you a share of that — the rest covers testing, wiping, the blocklist check, warranty on what we sell, and the collection. Then your grade, faults and extras adjust it.

Yes, provided the device is what you described. We do not run the trick where the number drops the moment you are stood at the counter. If we find something you did not mention, we tell you what it changes, and you can say no and take it home.
Sign out of iCloud or your Google account before you hand it over — that is the important one. We then do a certified wipe and email you the certificate. On dead devices where a wipe is impossible, the storage is physically destroyed and that is recorded too.
